And, the sentence I saw was like this...
"Only in the 1980's, there have been a lot of change."
There was no present time remark out of all paragraphs.
So, I just want to make sure if the sentence above could be correct gramatically.
Not now- if the sentence was written in the 1980s, then the time would be OK, but not now. (BTW- it would either have to be 'have been...changes or has been...change)
