Literally 'delicious'. In this country, this is now
sometimes used to mean 'beneficial'.
a delicious job, delicious news, a delicious proposal, etc.
Is there a similar colloquial expression in English?
Thank you.
In BrE, we can use 'tasty' in this way.![]()

Do you think so, tdol?
Sometimes males are described as "tasty" by admiring females; but tasty news, tasty proposals, tasty jobs?
(Personally, I feel "quite good" or "not bad" is enough...)
MrP
Maybe "nice":
A nice girl, nice weather, nice shoes...
Alain
Yes, "nice" would suffice.
I would feel an overpowering urge to slap anyone who talked about "delicious news".
MrP
The job's a tasty little number.![]()
Thank you very much, everybody.
