I need hep with the sentence below. I cudn't understand what exactly it says.

There were two individuals up there who were far less easy in their minds than the snoring dervish below

Presumably there was a dervish who was on a lower level than two other people - perhaps on a hillside, or in a house. The dervish was snoring, his sleep perhaps indicating that he was easy in his mind, relaxed, untroubled by unpleasant thoughts. The other two were not so relaxed.

I thought dervishes whirled, not snored.
