What do you think this verb means?

May it mean that Jack is able to get me down, or sadden me, or depress me?

The way that sentence is phrased is rather odd. Personally, I would write it this way:
" Jack is capable of kicking me down."

As for the meaning, I need some sort of context because it is not particularly clear from that sentence alone. It's definitely not an idiom I'm familiar with. BrE perhaps?

well, can this verb mean "to sadden" or "to depress"? I think it means this in this sentence. I don't have a context because I took this sentence from an exercise book...and it was not linked to other sentences...

I would use "bring me down":

"Jack really knows how to bring me down."

I've never seen or heard "kick someone down" used idiomatically.
