Hi I have some sentences that should be filled with idioms can you help me out?
1. This situation is worse than the one we were before. We’ve jumped into deep water
2. The company is in big financial trouble but you would never be able to guess it, the director is picking up the pieces
Thanks a lot for any help!!!
Thanks
Bhaisahab 's "This situation is worse than the one we were in before. We’ve jumped out of the frying pan into the fire" is an excellent suggestion.
But, if you want to stay with the "water" concept, you could also say: This situation is worse than the one we were in before. Now, we're really in deep water.

The director is putting on a brave front? I have no idea what the expected answer is supposed to be there.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
Even though the company is in financial trouble, you wouldn't know it because the director is trying to patch things up.
I grade myself 3/10 on that suggestion...
