    No - not really.
Cupcake is a term of endearment.

It can be used to disparage a team that is easy to beat. Like "State should be able to breeze through their early schedule. They play 4 cupcake teams, all at home."

    NOT A TEACHER

Tom: I think that the Parser's girlfriend, Mona, is really beautiful.

Joe: Well, then, why don't you invite her to dinner?

Tom: But she's the Parser's girlfriend! He'll be angry.

Joe: Oh, don't worry about him. He's a creampuff. (weak and timid)
