Types and Structure of Sentences
Hello, please help.
1. Is the sentence below considered as a simple sentence?
2. Is the phrase 'with a bang' an adverbial phrase which takes up the function as an adverb
that modifies the verb 'hit' ? Or it is a prepositional phrase ?
The long eight-wheeled truck overturned unexpectedly and hit the wall with a bang and burned.
Thanks.
