    Default how to describe"

    Dear all,

    1. The teacher advised me to read more difficult books using a dictionary.

    2. The teacher advised him to read more difficult books with a dictionary.

    3. The teacher advised him to read more difficult books by using a dictionary.

    4. The teacher adviced him to read more difficult books with a help of a dictionary.

    5. The teacher advised me to read more difficult books, while using a dictionary.

Are the sentences above fine? I'd like to know if the phases in bold are fine.

    Thank you!

    OP

I think they look alright, but your use of 'adviced' needs to be changed to 'advised'.

    Good luck,
    Ryan

Sentence 4 should not only read "advised" but also "with THE help of a dictionary".
