two way of saying are true.
but mostly uses firstly.its more practical.
"0.2 percent".
How should I read this?
One teacher says 'point two percent'.
Is this right?
Is 'zero point two percent' wrong?
Thank you!![]()
"point two" is more efficient. It's short for "zero point two".![]()
Thank you for your response.![]()
Ok, 'point two percent' is better,,, but
newscasters pronounce that way?![]()
"newscasters"? Well, I guess it would depend on the newscaster. The thing is, "zero" is superfluous, needless.
EX: 0.2 (point two)
"point" tells us there's a "0" there, so "zero" isn't needed. It's redundant.
EX: 1.2 (one point two)
"point" doesn't tell us there's a "1" there, so "one" is needed.
