Student of Life Is it proper to begin a business letter with the pronoun "I"?

Threadstarter / Original Poster Re: Student of Life In the way back when, as I was learning grammar and punctuation I was taught that it was a "no-no" to begin a letter with the pronoun "I". Just trying to confirm what I think I recall as a 'rule'.
