My task was:
Complete the following dialogue at a computer company's reception by putting the verbs in brackets into the correct tense.
Paul:
How do you do (do)? My name is (be) Paul Robetrts.
Andreas:
Pleased to meet you. Mine's Andreas Schmidt.
Paul:
I don’t think (not think) we met (meet) before.
Andreas:
No, I only joined (join) the European firm nine months ago. Before that I had worked (work) out in Bangkok.
Paul:
What did you do (do) out there?
Andreas:
I managed (manage) recruitment and selection for the South East Asian region. But then my wife said (say) that she hadn’t seen (not see) Europe for many years and that she wanted (want) to go back.
Paul:
And did you agree (agree)?
Andreas:
Yes, of course. And were you based (be based) here in London?
Paul:

Sorry, would you say, how's right? I didn't even thought of these cases to be troublesome :(

Well, may be, "I don't think I HAVE MET you before"
But "Before that I had worked (work) out in Bangkok."... I'm not sure what to change here.

OR
I don't think we've met before.

With the second, "Before that, I worked in Bangkok..." suffices.
