    Default John hopes...

"John has been learning a new musical instrument. Tomorrow he'll give his first performance."
How to put this while using the word "hopes" : "John hopes he'll perform well tomorrow." Correct ?

It works. It would be hard to get it to have exactly the same meaning, but there are variations of yours like He hopes his performance will go well.

"How to put this while using the word "hopes" is not an English sentence. It doesn't contain a finite verb. "How can I put this ... " is an acceptable sentence.
