    Default Sheila wishes...

"Sheila has entered a competition to travel to France."
How to put this while using the word "wishes" : "Sheila wishes she'd won the competition to travel to China." Correct ?

She doesn't know whether she's won or not, so the past perfect doesn't work there IMO. Where are these coming from? This and the last seem rather unnatural to me.
