"and then some" has sexual overtones.

(In that context. But it's not intrinsically sexual. It's just an understated way of saying something like 'a good deal more than the bare words suggest'. I might say in a social context 'It was a bit of a surprise', and MrsK - who knows my tendency towards impassivity - might add '... "a bit of a surprise" and then some. I was scared out of my wits!')
