as it might sound
The bikini bar owner egged me on to take the job, saying as vulgar and raunchy as it might sound what was there to lose for a person like me who had been in and out of psychiatric facilities.
Hi,
I want to hear your expert opinion on how the underlined phrase fits into the whole sentence.
By "it" in the phrase, I tried to mean the job or the idea of taking the job.
Does the sentence sound alright or need revision?
Thanks

Re: as it might sound
Sounds all right. If you give me a few more sentences for context, I might be able to comment on word choice as well.
