    Which one sentence of this looks better?

    He told me about his holiday.
    He told me about one's holiday.

    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Thanks that you have corrected this my mistake, when I created this thread I was just woke up...

    For that last sentence you'll need to say something like, "I can't get the hang of ...

    "One's" is the possesive form of "one" in BrE: One should avoid becoming too familiar when socialising with one's employer. It sounds rather formal and stuffy.

    Yes. It is often used in technical or formal writing to avoid saying "you" (which is thought for some reason to be too casual). Instead of saying "You should make sure you engage the parking brake before exiting your car" it is written "One should make sure to engage the parking brake before exiting one's car."
