    Default redwood to the finish

    Hello,

These are the lines from a video I am turning into a multiple-choice exercise:

"Every bottle in the store comes with an educational card that customers can take home with them. Now in addition to the usual stuff like the price and where the wines are from, it's also got a sense of humor. So for example this California red is described as party in a bottle. It's got purple oompah loompa berries, a taste of saddle leather and redwood to the finish."
Could you please explain the meaning of the expression 'to the finish'.

    Thank you in advance.

The finish is the taste of wine after swallowing it- the effect, aftertaste, etc.
