Dear Forum Users,
I want to paraphrase some terms in the following sentences. Could anyone please help me:
"For example, a speaker can involuntarily shake his head to indicate wonder, or wet his lips to indicate nervousness. Other movements of the head, eyes, and eyelids can be quite deliberate, and many can be used to indicate ironic intent. Winking, for example, can be used to suggest that the speaker does not intend his utterance to be taken seriously. The speaker may also elect to slowly nod his head, or to roll his eyes."
My paraphrase would go like this:
According to some researchers, facial expressions such as head shaking/head-shaking/head shake, lip wetting/lip-wetting/wetting of the lip, other head-moving/head-movements, head nods/head nodding, etc. ...
So, how could I paraphrase the highlighted terms?
Thank you.
