    Lightbulb Letter writing

    Hello,

I have been seen many official letters starts as bellow:

Please be informed that I would like to proceed on vacation....
Please be informed that the bellow mentioned materials will be sent to your office in half an hour...
Please be informed that I will not be able to attend the meeting so....

Is this method of writing acceptable for official correspondence?

    Thanks and regards.

    Please be informed that...
    In standard BrE we prefer:

I am writing to inform you that ....
This is to inform you that ....
    Please note that ...

'proceed on vacation' is not BrE. We go on holiday, or begin our holiday/leave.
