You do more than add clutter. "When you intensify an already intense word, be it adjective or verb, you do more than add clutter. " May I ask what the main clause means? Thank you.

Teacher Re: You do more than add clutter. You do more damage to the phrase or sentence than just cluttering it up with unnecessary, and crowded elements.
