already/have i was watching TV and there was an iPhone publicity and the narrator said "[ All those applications ] on the most amazing iPhone yet"
and i saw on facebook,an american wrote : "can it be thursday already!!"
I thought that :
"Already" was used in "normal sentences" and
"Yet" used in negative sentences and questions...
Am i wrong?

I see nothing wrong with either of the sentences.
I am not sure why you think "can it be thursday already" isn't a "normal" sentence.

Teacher Re: already/have As used in your examples: "Can it be Thursday already?" would mean "has Thursday arrived so soon?" and "yet" means "up to this time".

Teacher Re: already/have In that context "already" would mean that you have had the phone for some time in response to someone inquiring about when you expect to get an iPhone. Your example with "yet" is not a proper use of the word. See my previoius post. Originally Posted by Kco13
