usage of "because" and "so"

"She is young, so she knows a little."

Can I change it as below?
"Because she is young, she knows a little."

"She is young, so she knows a little."

Can I change it as below?
"Because she is young, she knows a little."

Both are technically correct in that they follow the rules of grammar and punctuation, but neither makes much sense as written. They imply that her youth has somehow conveyed some knowledge. If she were even younger, would she know even more?

Both would be improved by the addition of the word only:

She is young, so she only knows a little. OR
She is young, so she knows only a little.

Because she is young, she only knows a little. OR
Because she is young, she knows only a little.

I think you mean:
"She is young, so she knows a little."
"Because she is young, she knows a little."

When you put "a" in front of "little", it indicates that the girl does actually know something.
