If I knew that my friend liked to blab about different things at a party, would the following sentence make sense?
"She couldn't have been not talking about it throughout the whole evening."
Or get out of this multiple negative morass: I'm sure she must have talked about it at some point in the evening!
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
