Hi !
Would you please let me know the difference between "share" and "share...with"?
I guess "share... with" is used when speaker wants to express or emphasize that the subject in the sentence gives something (that is, the object in the sentence) to someone, while "share (without "with")" means that more than two people use or have something together.
Is that right?
If so, can I use this sentence - "I'm happy to have friends to share the memories of my childhood." meaning "I have friends that went to school with, played with, argued with, and were with for good times and bad times when I was a child. So they know everything about me and so do I." ?
In that case, should I use "our childhood", not "my childhood" ?
If I add "with" to the end of the sentence above, would it make any difference to the meaning - "I have someone who doesn't know much about my old days and I tell him or her about my childhood" ?
Or... isn't there any critical difference in meaning between them?
Thank you for reading.
