Hello,
I would like to know which is the right sentence:
In the evenings, she used to watch TV while waiting for us
In the evenings, she would watch TV while waiting for us
According to what grammar rule should we choose one or the other, seen that both verbs can be used to express actions in the past?
My opinion: I would choose both of them indistinctly (in this particular context).
Thank you for your help.
You are right. In this context, both are possible.
Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
