BE????????? Request help from Experts

Dear Teacher,

I always feel problem in using words like Being, to be and have. Can you please explain me the following in detail. I have given my comments also, please check whether I am wrong or right.l


1. If you approve, I can take the evening flight and be there.
2. Let there be schools with openhearted entrance.

Why [b]“be”[b] is used in 1 & 2. Pls. explain my in detail. As per my knowledge it shows in existence of person in Sr No. 1 and schools in Sr. No.

Can you please add on above explaination ?

3. I wanted to have discussions with you but you not being available I had preliminary discussion with Dr. X.

4. Prior to being parsed, each record looks like a single text to Excel.

In 3rd, being is added because word available is adjective and it requires being. Am I right ? But why TO BE is not used.

In 4th, "being" is a gerund gives the answer of “Doing this” Am I right?

Please add further if I can be benefited.

I don’t know why TO Be is added in this. I think it is a passive voice.

I don’t know why TO Be is added in this.

I don’t know why being is added.

You said it is an adjective. I could not understand How ? Because if we do a gerund test. It will answer

Prior to Doing this,.......... Answer Prior to being parsed.......

7. Who was the first person to be awarded Oscar Award.

If here we apply Gerund Test. Can It work ? Confusion arises where this test needs to perform ?.
