    It's quite funny really.

    The son left his homework on the kitchen table and asked his Mum to bring it to school.
    Once the teacher got it, she noticed that the son had done the wrong homework.
    The Mum got a grade 'E' for the work she put it (also, effort begins with 'E'), implying that the son received grade 'F'. I'm assuming that the grade scales go from 'A' (best) to 'F' (worst).
