Verbalizing a noun

Hi,

are there any rules for verbalizing a noun?

Heard while standing in line at the checkout counter:
"Can you watch my cart while I ATM?"

Pretty much any concrete noun'll do. Can't wait to read the exceptions, though. Nice addition to this Forum, englishstudent.

Because English has very few verb inflections, it's possible to make just about any noun a verb with very little fuss - and we do.
