He was to have been rewarded for handing in the stolen goods until it was discovered that he was involved with the criminal gang.
I have following problem.
a) When such type of passive voice we can use?. I have no knowledge about it specifically which I have underlined.
b) Please also tell me - can we use to be for "will be" as used in sentence # 3.
c) Can you please suggest me the active form of above passive voice.
Please guide me.
1- It doesn't have to be passive- He was the first person to discover it. The one you have underlined has a meaning similar to 'who has been'.
