Default Please help me with this sentence.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I could not understand meaning of the following sentence. Could you give me a context in which it is used.

    "Should I have invited Mary?"

    Thank much.

    NOT A TEACHER

Here is perhaps one possible context:

Tom: The party is scheduled for next week. Have you mailed all the invitations?

Mona: Yes, I have. I took them to the post office this morning. Here is the list of the 50 invitees.

    Tom: OMG!

    Mona: What's the problem?

Tom: I don't see Mary's name on the list.

Mona: I don't like her. Should I have invited Mary?

Tom: Of course, you should have. People say that she will be our new manager.

    Mona: OMG!

    Welcome to the forum, pano.

Please give future threads more useful titles.

As your question is about Should I have invited Mary?, that would have been a great title.
