(1) I may be wrong (and I probably am), but I am uncomfortable with the use of "the" in your sentence.



(a) I should prefer:

Santa died laughing after he learned that you had burned all of the seven eggs.

How about all seven of the eggs? It works for me.

I agree here. "All seven eggs" is what I would say. No "the."
