Default dream [about ... ] come true

    Hi everyone,

Is it possible to split the phrase dream come true?

    For example:

This was his dream about riding a horse come true.
The performance will be his dream about staging "Hamlet" come true.

    ...or is this sloppy style?

    Many thanks in advance.

I think it sounds unnatural. For your examples, I would use:

Riding a horse was his dream come true.
Staging Hamlet will be his dream come true.

With the second, I might say "Tonight, his dream of staging Hamlet will come true" but I don't feel that that has the same tone as using "dream come true" as a noun in its own right.
