Is this grammatically correct?
I found;
The door was painted darkly grey.
Though I'm used to the word 'dark grey', I became to think that adverbs can modify adjectives.
In that way, 'darkly grey' can be OK?
Please help~~~

Re: Is this grammatically correct?
The colour is not grey 'in a dark way'; the grey is dark.
