Is the following use of 'status quo' correct? I know that 'status quo' means 'the existing state of affairs'.
Status quo of <name of eductional institution (which shall remain nameless ;) ) >
Under this section is listed the number of teaching staff and so on.
I have never seen it used like this. I have only seen it used in newspapers and books like this - The Supreme Court on Sunday directed the National University (NU) authorities to maintain status quo on termination of 821 employees and fresh recruitment to the university until further order.
