It sounds OK although I might not bother with "than those". I would also probably change "... but I thought maybe you had..." to "... but I thought you might have ..."

I would probably change "in case" to "if". That is, however, if I have understood the meaning correctly. Are you saying that you would be able to utilise better pictures if the person has some?
3. I wouldn’t be surprised if they asked us to help them out.
