Do we say historic places or histotical places?
Which one is correct? long straight black hair or straight long black hair ?

(1) I was taught the following:

(a) Every place is, of course, a historical place. That is, it is part of history.

(b) If a place is special for some reason, then it is a historic place.

In other words, a "historic place" is also a "historical place," but a "historical

place" is not necessarily a "historic" place.

(2) For example, visitors to the United States often visit historic Mt. Vernon. Why is

it special? Because the house and land once belonged to George Washington.

(3) In some American cities, there are some buildings that cannot be demolished.

Why? Because the city government says that those houses are historic. Maybe a

famous person once lived there, or maybe that house has a unique architectural design

from past years.
