Hello,
She felt she was among friends, and that's what she does among friends. (That is ok)
Can we put 'between' instead of 'among' ?
She felt she was between friends, and that's what she does between friends.
Thanks...
I want to ask what the difference between ''between friends and among friends'' or ''between them and among them'' is.
Hello aysaa
This is a question that comes up often, and here is a link to an answer that I find very helpful and easy to understand. I hope you will too. If not, come back and ask for clarification.

I think the answer is going to be 'among' . Am I right? Because it is not distinct.
It depends on how many people there were. If two people (just you and me) then it is "between" us.
If more than two, then it is "among."
Thanks for answering ,and last question about it. I have seen this rule on internet ,but it made no sense to me. Is that ok or not?
Note: When talking about dividing and sharing things netween and among more than two people or groups. We can use any of the two.
We shared the work between/ among 4 of us.
Ram divided all his property between/ among his children and grandchildren
Thanks again ,but what do you think about my question?
- We shared the work between/ among 4 of us.
-Ram divided all his property between/ among his children and grandchildren.
Is that ok or not?
No, use among. Only use "between" when talking about 2 things, or a series of comparisons. An example of the latter would be something like "he compared the features between the Ford, Kia and Honda." Because that is really a comparison between ford and Kia, between Ford and Honda and between Kia and Honda.
