make a sentence with "marking" Are both sentences correct?
The cone in the photograph is marking the spot where the accident occurred.
or
The cone in the photograph marks the spot where the accident occurred.

Teacher Re: make a sentence with "marking" I think they're both correct, but the second one is more elegant.

Teacher Re: make a sentence with "marking" I would use the second. The first is OK, but as the cone is fixed in the photo, the present simple works better for me.
