Default a level where I feel of value

Would you please paraphrase the following in red more easily?

The healthiest wants are completely within your control, and normally include an element of how you will show up in a specific situation. For example, your answer to the third question (What do you really want for your self?) might be, "I want to contribute at a level where I feel of value." You have control over the level of your contribution and how you feel.

Is this saying "I want to make a contribution which is recognized as valuable by others and myself"?

    Thank you.

    Thank you.
The first sentence is somewhat odd. I'm not at all sure of what, "how you will show up in a specific situation", means. To me, this sort of means what method of transportation you will use to arrive somewhere.

Was this passage written by a native speaker?

"I want to contribute at a level where I feel of value" could mean that not only is your contribution helping others - you also get satisfaction doing it, you like doing it.

"Show up" might mean "act", "do things".

I'd guess that with "show up" the OP is trying to say "appear", as in the image s/he will present.
