I wonder why he said the next sentence.
Y'mean when I was born, the honeymoon was over?

It's a play on the idiom 'the honeymoon is over', which refers to a period of grace, typically after an election, when the winner can 'do no wrong'. Dennis means this. But in the context of an album of honeymoon pictures, it seems to mean something else. The wife assumes this and leaves her husband to explain - that the honeymoon lasted only 1 or 2 weeks (etymologically, it should last for a lunar month - 'moon' - but honeymoons nowadays tend to be shorter).
