    Default Present Perfect

    Hello,

    Please look at this 9GAG - Dafuk happened last night.

    Why don't he say " What did I do last night" if there's no more connection with the present!!

    It's the wrong grammar. I"m not sure the artist cares much about grammar.

    The problem is with "last night." A specific past time reference requires simple past, not present perfect.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
