    Default Educated

    Hello everyone,
Can anyone please tell me what "educated" could mean in this context?
"Someone with a different language says a word you don't understand. What do you do?
    a. Ask them to repeat.
    b. Make an educated guess about what they said and respond to that

    Thank you in advance.

It means you have some knowledge of the subject. It is not a random guess. I do not speak Italian, but I learnt French and Latin, so I can usually make an educated guess about the meaning of most Italian words (in context).

Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
