Educated Hello everyone,
Can anyone please tell me what "educated" could mean in this context?
"Someone with a different language says a word you don't understand. What do you do?
a. Ask them to repeat.
b. Make an educated guess about what they said and respond to that

Teacher Re: Educated It means you have some knowledge of the subject. It is not a random guess. I do not speak Italian, but I learnt French and Latin, so I can usually make an educated guess about the meaning of most Italian words (in context).
Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
