    Can you say "by" for "out of" in this case? Does only "out of" work?

    ex)Selkirk cooked the vegetables and goat meat, and made clothes out of(by) goat skin.....

    You make clothes 'out of' a fabric or skin 'by' sewing peices together.

    'He made a cloak out of a bear hide by removing the claws and cutting a hole for his head.'
