Is this sentence all right?
Though we have known each other for only three weeks I feel we have known each other for a long time.
NOT A TEACHER
(1) According to my books, the two teachers have given us excellent answers.
(2) One teacher says that your sentence is fine and it is regularly used by most
native speakers. Right!
(3) The other teacher reminded us that the conjunction "as if" has been left out,
which is very common. Right!
(4) I only wanted to report that some very strict teachers might require:
I feel as if we had known each other for a long time.
(a) These strict teachers explain that the "complete" sentence is:
I feel as [I would feel] if we had known each other for a long time (but we
have not known each other for a long time).
