a) Could this be an appropriate explanation to the previous sentence? If not, could you tell me a suitable one?
Baxter's chief is moving his head up and dow.


b) Is there an opposite verb for 'nod'?

The second sentence explains the meaning of the first.

b) Is there an opposite verb for 'nod'? if someone 'nods (their head)', they are frequently indicating "yes"; if they shake their head, they are indicating "no".
