pulls dense little shots of espresso

Hi,

I checked the definition of "pull" in several online dictionaries, couldn't find the meaning for it. Can you please tell me what "pull" means in this sentence?

I think it's based on the fact that those little coffee machines sometimes have a small tap, a little like the ones in pubs, where you press/pull a lever to allow the liquid to run out of the tap.
With beer, that is called "pulling a pint".
I may be wrong though and it's just a very specific phrase used with coffee making equipment.
