Default the same room you found

I found this book in the same room you found your keys.

I found this book in the same room where you found your keys.

    Hi,

I know that the second one just can't go wrong grammatically.

But what about the first one? Is it grammatical?

It seems like the second one can be shortened but I am sure how.

How would you phrase it if you had to say something like that?

"I found this book in the same room you found your keys in."
"I found this book in the same room where you found your keys."
Both of the above are fine.
