Is anyone aware of some 'gold' in regards to inferred language. Understanding the language used when it's super fast and full of colloquial expressions? There is a serious lack of material or awareness raising exercises. This is the difference between a good and a great English speaker.

You may also want to search under these terms: anaphoric presuppositions, the semantics of pragmatics, computational semantics and pragamtics. In addition, computer engineers are dealing with the exact same concerns as ESL/EFL/ESOL learners: how to interpret inferred language, so you may want to look into that area as well.
