I found an old photo of a friend of mine, scanned it and want to send it to my friend by E-mail. I want to write:
"There is a photo of you where you are young"
Can I omit the part in bold and simply say "... a photo of you young"
I would actually use 'younger' instead of 'young'. I don't know how old your friend is, but he/she might take it the wrong way and not appreciate the implication that he/she is now old.
If the photo is this person as a child, then you could write that as well (i.e. "Here is a photo of you as a child.").
