    Default Question about 'got into'

    Hi Teachers,
Sentence: The train got into London on time.
In this sentence, 'arrived at' is a good synonym for the verb 'got into' if we think about the train station, and 'arrived in' if we think about London, the city. Is that so?

    Thanks in advance

It would be in cities that had only one station. In the case of London, it's '...arrived at Waterloo/King'sCross/Victoria/etc'.
Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
